Here’s a new category for the blog… Random geek moments. These will be short and factual accounts of our little family’s Geekeriffic life.
Let’s start with today: 8/15/2012
Last night MGM’s contract with Netflix ended, causing a bunch of shows to go missing from my queue, most importantly Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis
If you agree that this is a travesty click here.
So there we were at 8:30 at night tonight, and because we were already going through Stargate Withdraws, just at the thought of not having these shows, we headed out in search of them. I know it is expensive, especially on a whim, but my wife and I picked up Atlantis from Graywhale, and now we feel we will be able to sleep tonight.

My geekiest moment probably was in school… when I was trying to explain what I did the weekend. We had a AD&D Session. Try to explain how you had fun with your friends sitting around a table for a day and a half….
My 2nd geekiest moment was during a Big Bang Theory episode where I was the only one getting the joke “you turned off the TV while the DS9 Crossover with the Tribble Trouble Old Series Episode… something must be wrong!”
Trouble with Tribbles, geez they are as bad as Gremlins, just don’t get em wet after midnight!
Love it, and the D&D reference is not lost on me, last year at a white elephant Christmas party, I used up both of my gift trades to work my way up to a “D&D Starter Kit”
Thanks for reading!
That really sucks; I didn’t realize that was happening now. Now I’m going to have to go see what’s missing from my Netflix queue…
Love this idea, btw. My geekiest moment of today was when my sister asked if I could bring my laptop along on our roadtrip this weekend, so she could get some work done while we’re away–to which I reassured her that I never travel light when it comes to my gadgets. Not only will I be bringing my laptop, but also my iPad, smartphone, Kindle, DS, and PSP. Yeah, I’ve got problems.
Beautiful! The worst part is trying to share that one USB car adapter with all the USB charge cables on a road trip. Thanks for joining in.
Geek moment, bragging about owning a signed script from an SG1 episode lol
That’s my girl!
