League Assignment: A Trip to Anywhere in Pop-Culture

This weeks assignment from The League is “Take a trip to anywhere in pop culturedom. What fictional town, time, or world would you want to visit?.”

This is very interesting, I think if I saw this before today, I would have gone somewhere like Risa, the uninhibited vacation planet in Star Trek. However, this weekend I re-watched a not so popular Sci-Fi mini-series called “The Lost Room.” For those of you who haven’t seen it, I highly suggest it. If you are a Warehouse 13 fan, think of this as the birth place of some artifacts.

Simply put, the Lost Room is a room that you can access using a special key. The room its self is nothing amazing, simply a cheap motel room, but the one thing this room has that nothing else does, the ability to take you anywhere. Just thinking of a location, you open the door to leave the room, and your there. The places you could go using this powerful sci-fi inspired room, is endless.

One more thing, since this is the birthplace of a bunch of powerful objects, anything you find in the room, could become very useful, if you can just figure out what its power is (you would laugh if you had seen the show).

Reminds me of that movie The 13th floor. We used to pull a prank on this gullible at my old job, telling him the 13th floor in our building needed a special elevator key and had a fish tank made of the same materials used to construct Wonder Woman’s invisible jet. He spent the whole summer searching around for that key. Good times!

You watched it without me? Sad, :-P

  8. Holy Crap, I loved this mini-series! Definitely underrated and also attribute it to me being a fan of Warehouse 13. Great choice!

I love Warehouse 13 and also the SyFy miniseries, haven’t heard of this one, but could be interesting. The premise sounds pretty awesome. Awesome pick for a visit!
